LIFE MADE NEW

Finding The Way to new Hope through Jesus

A Simple Guide to Salvation

FIRST KNOW:

GOD LOVES YOU

God is good. God is Love. He created you, body, soul and spirit, with purpose and loves you more than you can imagine. He wants a real relationship with you and desires for you to know His peace, presence, hope and love.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…
John 3:16

WHAT'S NEXT?

1. RECOGNIZE THE NEED FOR A SAVIOR

We all fall short. We all struggle. We all sin. But the good news is that God has already made a way for us to be forgiven and restored.

Acknowledging your need is the first step toward freedom.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:23-24

2. BELIEVE IN JESUS

Salvation isn’t something you earn , it’s a gift you receive. Jesus paid the price for your sins, and through His death and resurrection, He offers you a new beginning (Ephesians 2:8-9). Believing in Him means trusting that He is Lord, Savior, Redeemer, and the Son of God. (John 20:31)

As you begin this new life, water baptism is the next step, your public declaration that you now belong to Jesus. It's a representation of the washing away of our past sins and the old self being buried like Christ and the new self being raised up with Him.(Romans 6:4)

God also gives every believer the Holy Spirit, who lives within you to guide, strengthen, and empower your walk with Christ. (Acts 2:38; John 14:26)

Prayer, reading your Bible, hearing the Word, and getting connected to a local church are key to growth and relationship with God.

3. SURRENDER YOUR HEART

Give Jesus your whole life, your past, your pain, your struggles, your fears, your hopes, and your future. This is the moment real transformation begins.

You can pray something like:

Jesus, I need You.

I accept you as my Lord and Savior.

I believe You died and rose again for me.

Please, forgive me, change me, and make me new.

I give You my life today.

4. TURN AWAY FROM THE OLD LIFE

Repentance simply means changing direction. After surrendering your heart to Jesus, He empowers you to walk away from old patterns, habits, and hurts that once controlled your life. You don’t walk away alone, God walks with you.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

5. WALK IN YOUR NEW LIFE

Salvation isn't just a moment, it's a lifelong journey. God promised the Holy Spirit to all who love and follow Jesus, to guide you, strengthen you, and grow you daily.

Ways to walk and grow in faith:

  • Spend time reading the Bible
  • Spend time with God in prayer
  • Connect with a church or faith community
  • Surround yourself with encouragement
  • Show kindness, love, and grace each day to everyone
  • Stay aware and intentional regarding your thoughts, actions and relationships
  • When you realize you're not doing what's right, don't stress out or be hard on yourself.  We all fall.  The most important part is what you do after.  Be quick to acknowledge your shortcomings and mistakes, then, repent.

6. REMEMBER: YOU ARE MADE NEW

When you say yes to Jesus, everything changes.  You are forgiven.  You are loved.  You are a child of God.  Your future is secure, and your life has a new purpose and direction.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:

The old has gone, the new is here!

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God,  this is your true and proper worship.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Romans 12:1-2

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.

Psalms 119:133

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.  But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it, not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it, they will be blessed in what they do.

James 1:22-25

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,...

Romans 1:16
