DWELL: Bible Study Building Blocks - Block 6

Bible Study Building Blocks is a growing series of guided, Scripture-rooted studies designed to help us build a strong foundation with God, one connected piece at a time.

Each main Block focuses on an important area of spiritual growth. That Block is then explored through smaller, connected Parts, giving us room to slow down, study meaningful Scripture passages, reflect, write, pray, and take a next faithful step.

These studies are more than verse-of-the-day devotionals or generic reflection workbooks. Each day helps us engage the biblical text, understand what it reveals about God, notice the people, choices, promises, warnings, and patterns within the passage, and respond personally through prayer and faithful action.

We build across the series, and we build within each Block. Each Part gives us another piece of truth to study, hold onto, and begin living out.

About the DWELL Study

DWELL is Block 6 of The Next Faithful Step Series. This six-Part Block invites us to know the Father through Jesus, return when we have drifted, stay with God long enough for truth to settle, remain connected to Christ as life keeps moving, understand growth through the wheel and the spiral, and recognize the fruit His life forms within us.

Throughout the Block, we’ll explore dwelling as a relational way of living with God rather than a temporary spiritual pause or an escape from everyday life. Through Scripture, guided teaching, personal study questions, reflection, prayer, and practical next steps, we’ll consider how returning becomes dwelling, how dwelling deepens into abiding, and how a life that remains connected to Christ begins to bear visible fruit.

The Block concludes by bringing the full journey together through the fruit Jesus forms in us. We’ll consider how lasting fruit grows from connection rather than striving, and how His life becomes increasingly visible through the way we love, respond, endure, obey, and live.

Each Part is a complete five-day mini study and may be purchased separately. The Parts can be completed in order as a connected 30-day journey or selected individually according to the truth most meaningful for your current season.

Part 1: Jesus and the Father

Begin with the relationship Jesus came to reveal. Explore how Jesus shows us the Father, brings us near, and invites us into a life shaped by trust, belonging, love, and relationship with God.

Part 2: Return

Learn to recognize return as a willing turn back toward the God who wants us near. Explore the small, honest ways we can come back to His truth, His presence, and His lead when distraction, pressure, fear, or drift has pulled our attention elsewhere.

Part 3: Dwell

Slow down and stay with God long enough for His truth to settle more deeply within you. Learn what it means to make room for His presence, remain attentive to what He is revealing, and allow nearness with Him to become more than a passing moment.

Part 4: Abide

Explore what it means to remain connected to Jesus as life continues moving around you. Learn how abiding keeps His truth, love, strength, and life flowing through us in ordinary routines, changing circumstances, and seasons that require steady dependence.

Part 5: The Wheel and the Spiral

Discover how spiritual growth often unfolds through repeated return rather than a perfectly straight line. Learn to recognize familiar lessons, deeper layers, and renewed invitations without treating every return as failure. The wheel keeps us moving, and the spiral allows God to deepen what He has already begun.

Part 6: Fruit

Explore the fruit that becomes visible as we remain in Christ. Learn how fruit is formed from within through connection with Jesus, the work of the Holy Spirit, and a life increasingly shaped by God’s truth, love, character, and lead.
