Bible Study Building Blocks is a growing series of guided, Scripture-rooted studies designed to help us build a strong foundation with God, one connected piece at a time.

Each main Block focuses on an important area of spiritual growth. That Block is then explored through smaller, connected Parts, giving us room to slow down, study meaningful Scripture passages, reflect, write, pray, and take a next faithful step.

These studies are more than verse-of-the-day devotionals or generic reflection workbooks. Each day helps us engage the biblical text, understand what it reveals about God, notice the people, choices, promises, warnings, and patterns within the passage, and respond personally through prayer and faithful action.

We build across the series, and we build within each Block. Each Part gives us another piece of truth to study, hold onto, and begin living out.

About the OBEDIENCE Study

OBEDIENCE is Block 4 of The Next Faithful Step Series. This seven-Part Block invites us to explore obedience as a faithful response to God’s love, truth, wisdom, and lead.

Throughout the Block, we’ll look more closely at the heart that says yes to God and the everyday choices that allow that yes to become visible. Through Scripture, guided teaching, personal study questions, reflection, prayer, and practical next steps, we’ll explore how obedience grows through relationship, becomes action, remains steady through difficulty, and leads us into forgiveness, repentance, and faithful response to God’s Word.

Each Part is a complete five-day mini study and may be purchased separately. The Parts can be completed in order as a connected 35-day journey or selected individually according to the truth most meaningful for your current season.

Part 4: A Steady Yes

Discover how obedience continues through waiting, redirection, repetition, and changing circumstances. Learn to stay connected to God, return when needed, and keep walking faithfully one step at a time.

Part 5: Forgiveness

Explore forgiveness as an obedient release rooted in God’s truth, mercy, and justice. Learn how forgiveness works alongside wisdom, honesty, healthy boundaries, healing, and faithful responsibility.

Part 6: Repentance

Discover repentance as an honest and life-giving return to God. Learn to recognize what needs to change, receive His truth, turn toward Him, and allow repentance to produce faithful action and visible fruit.

Part 7: Hear It. Hold It. Do It.

Explore the movement from hearing God’s Word to living it faithfully. Learn how to receive the Word with an open heart, hold it long enough for truth to settle from the head into the heart, and do what it says so that God’s truth becomes visible through your life.

This Part also looks closely at the drifts that can happen during hearing, the difference between hearing and truly receiving, and the importance of retaining and persevering with the Word until it takes root and produces fruit.
