I'm Not Okay

Fear & Anxiety

When Fear Feels Loud

For the moments when your thoughts won’t settle and you don’t know what’s coming next.

Hey! Take a breath. I'm glad you're here.

Whatever you're afraid of, you can bring it with you. We're going to start right where you are. You don't have to sort it all out. Let's just be still in God's peace a moment.

01 · Word Flow Breathing Prayer

Let’s Breathe Together

Three gentle cycles. Breathe naturally, and skip the four-second hold if holding your breath feels uncomfortable.

Breath 1 Inhale “Lord, You are with me.”

Hold 4 seconds — optional

Exhale “I don’t have to face this alone.”
Breath 2 Inhale “You are my strength and help.”

Hold 4 seconds — optional

Exhale “I give You what I cannot control.”
Breath 3 Inhale “Lead me in Your truth.”

Hold 4 seconds — optional

Exhale “I’ll take my next step with You.”
02 · God’s Word

Let’s Start With God’s Word

Isaiah 41:10

God reassures His people that He is with them; His strength and help are central.

Philippians 4:6–7

We can bring our concerns to God in prayer and receive the peace that guards heart and mind in Christ.

03 · A Little Encouragement

Can I Ask You Something?

What’s been keeping you up at night?

Maybe it’s something already happening. Maybe you’re waiting for news, trying to make a decision, or wondering how you’re going to get through something that feels bigger than you. Or maybe nothing has happened yet, but your mind keeps running through every possibility.

I know it’s not always as simple as telling yourself to stop worrying. Sometimes there are real things happening that need our attention. We may need to make a difficult decision, protect ourselves, have an uncomfortable conversation, or ask for help.

But you don’t have to figure out every possible outcome before you bring what you’re carrying to God. Isaiah 41:10 grounds reassurance in who God is, not in a promise that life will never be difficult. Philippians 4 reminds us that we can bring all of our concerns to Him.

You don’t have to pretend it isn’t frightening. You don’t have to manufacture courage you don’t feel. We can start with what’s right in front of you.

04 · RENEWED Reflection

Take a Moment to Notice

What’s fear been telling you? Does it tell you something terrible will happen, that you won’t be able to handle what’s coming, or that what happened before is going to happen again?

There’s a difference between recognizing a real concern and allowing fear to decide what everything means. What do you actually know? What are you still waiting to find out? What have you been assuming because you’re afraid?

Bring it before God. What do you need to place in His hands? Is there something practical you need to do—or have you done what you reasonably can for today and need to stop trying to solve tomorrow tonight?

Hear

What truth from God’s Word do I need to hear above the fear?

Hold

What concern do I need to bring before God?

Do

What is one faithful step I can take today?

05 · Guided Pause • Breathe • Return

Come Back to This Moment

Pause: Notice what you’re feeling without trying to push it away. Name the fear honestly before God.

Breathe: Take a few comfortable breaths. You don’t have to solve anything in this moment.

Return: Come back to Isaiah 41:10. Remember God’s presence and consider the next small step in front of you.

06 · Before You Go, Let’s Pray

A Prayer for This Moment

Father, thank You for being with me, especially when life feels uncertain. You know the things I’m afraid of, the questions I have, the decisions I’m facing, and the thoughts that keep coming back. Give me wisdom where I need to decide, courage where I need to face something, and help me recognize when I need support. When fear gets loud again, bring me back to what You’ve said. Help me hear Your truth, hold on to Your promises, and take the next step with You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
